Type specimen: TMM 43209-1, a partial skeleton (fragmentary disarticulated skull and significant portions of a postcranial skeleton). Its type locality is Cedar Hill, TMM 43209, which is in a Turonian carbonate limestone in the Kamp Ranch Limestone Formation of Texas.
