Type specimen: CICYTTP-PV-M-1-23, a skull (skull and proximal fragment of the right mandible). Its type locality is North Bank of Ensenada Stream, which is in a Pleistocene fluvial-lacustrine horizon in the Arroyo Feliciano Formation of Argentina.
