Type specimen: KUVP 1329, a set of postcrania (11 cervical, 13 dorsal and other vertebrae, and parts of the pectrum and pelvis). Its type locality is McAllaster ('Plesiosaurus' gulo type locality), which is in a Santonian/Campanian marine horizon in Kansas.
