Type specimen: UCMP 26793, a mandible (A part of a left mandibular ramus without the anterior tip and the vertical ramus, all of the cheek teeth well preserved). Its type locality is Rattlesnake, which is in a Hemphillian terrestrial horizon in Oregon.
