When: Santa Maria Formation (Rosario do Sul Group), Anisian to Anisian (247.2 - 235.0 Ma)

• From an unknown horizon in the Santa Maria Formation. The synapsid Luangwa is known from Anisian age outcrops in Africa (Ntawere Formation), and Abdala & Sa-Teixeira suggest that this might indicate an Anisian age for at least part of the Santa Maria Formation (usually considered Ladinian-Norian in age), but this remains uncertain
