When: El Hato Member (Paraguana Formation), Early/Lower Pliocene (5.3 - 3.6 Ma)

• The geological unit from which the specimens were obtained is the the lower member (i.e. El Hato) of the Paraguaná Formation of Venezuela. This unit is early Pliocene in age, based on the Léxico estratigráfico de Venezuela (1997).
