Type specimen: MPCA 454, a partial skull (incomplete skull with full upper dentition missing the braincase, part of the rostral roof, and the lower jaws). Its type locality is La Buitrera (lower), which is in a Cenomanian fluvial sandstone in the Candeleros Formation of Argentina.
