Type specimen: QM F18101, a skeleton (a near-complete ankylosaurian dinosaur specimen that includes most of the skull and mandible, along with an articulated postcranium). Its type locality is Kunbarrasaurus-type locality, which is in an Albian/Cenomanian marginal marine mudstone/siltstone in the Allaru Mudstone Formation of Australia.
