Type specimen: YPM 1170, a set of limb elements (Distal ends of radius and ulna, partial metacarpal IV, partial wing phalanx 1). Its type locality is north side, Smoky Hill River, 5 mi W Russell Springs, which is in a Santonian/Campanian offshore shale in the Niobrara Formation of Kansas.

Ecology: volant piscivore
