Type specimen: PMOL-AB00245 (Paleontological Museum of Liaoning, China), a set of postcrania (partial postcranial skeleton including nearly complete furcula, left coracoid, left carpometacarpus, and first phalanx of the left alular digit; partial sternum). Its type locality is Dapingfang, which is in an Aptian lacustrine mudstone in the Jiufotang Formation of China.
