Where: Rockingham County, North Carolina (36.5° N, 79.7° W: paleocoordinates 10.8° N, 23.5° W)

When: Upper Member (Cow Branch Formation), Norian (221.5 - 205.6 Ma)

• Upper Member refered to as CB2. The footprint-bearing block was not found in place but is believed to come from the Upper Member. Body fossils from cycles 2, 3, and 16 within the quarry series

• group of beds-level stratigraphic resolution

Environment/lithology: lacustrine - small; dolomitic, black, gray siltstone

• black or gray dolomitic siltstone

Size class: macrofossils

Preservation: mold/impression, adpression, trace, soft parts

Collected by P. Olsen in 1974-; reposited in the YPM

Collection methods: bulk, quarrying, surface (float), surface (in situ), mechanical, peel or thin section,

• Footprint specimen is a latex peel of the large trackway-bearing slab.
