The exposed fossiliferous area is less than two acres" (coordinate estimated from the position of the headwaters of Plum Creek using Google Maps)

Lithology: sandstone

Habitat comments: from "massive sandstones and laminated sandstone and shale layers"
"fossils are few, fragmentary and scattered... The fossil-bearing deposits seem to be floodplain or terrace sediments. Most of the fossils consist of water-worn chips of teeth and bones"

Schultz (1990) also reports Prosthennops sp., Ustatochoerus sp., and Longirostromeryx sp., all of which are clearly based on material collected later
