Geography comments: "at Ituberâ"

Environment
Habitat: tropical/subtropical dry broadleaf forest

Altered habitat: fragment

Substrate: ground surface

MAT: 26.2

MAP: 2000.0

Habitat comments: "The regional climate is type As according the Koppen’s classification: tropical, rainy and hot, rains concentrated in fall and summer, and average temperature 20ºC and above. The regional landscape is primarily formed by agroforestry systems (rubber tree - forest or rubber tree-cocoa-forest) and by fragments of the Atlantic Forest" and the samples were taken from "three secondary forest fragments in regeneration ('capoeiras') located in a continuous patch of approximately 10ha"
climate data are for the reserve and are from Camurugi et al. (2010, Biota Neotrop.), who say that "temperature ranged from 21.7 to 30.8 °C" without elaboration

Methods
Life forms: ants

Sites: 3

Sampling methods: line transect,pitfall traps

Sample size: 392 individuals

Years: 2007, 2008

Days: 1

Nets or traps: 80

Net or trap nights: 80

Trap spacing: 0.02

Sampling comments: "Four sample-collection trips were undertaken in the region every three months, from December 2007 through September 2008... 20 pitfall traps were installed in each area during each one of the four collection trips, for a total of 240 pitfall traps. These traps were placed in a 400m long transect at 20m intervals, and remained in the field for 24 hours" (count applies to three different sampling areas, so the total for this one is 80)
